For those who would be interested in taking classes with others this is a great way!  Group classes offer socialization, and distractions while training.  Most popular for those who frequent parks with their pets, or take long walks in public areas where other persons walking dogs may be present.  Neighborhood group classes are very popular.

Group class fees are:  $125.00 for Six Weeks of Training currently being offered in Suffolk Virginia.   Classes are conducted one day a week for approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour and may go for about 1.5 hours.   You should be prepared to participate in these classes inside or outdoors.  In the event of bad weather, (if classes are conducted outside) classes will be postponed to the next week, and all classes are made up for a total of 6 lessons. 


Behaviors taught in the group dog obedience classes are:

  PLACE, SIT, STAY, DOWN, WALK LOOSE ON LEASH, HEEL, DOWN, RECALL

For the group classes the following equipment is required:

You may use any collar of your choice, however, alternatives may be suggested if the dog is not responding well.   You will also need a 4 or 6 foot leash, no chain leashes allowed.  Each dog will be required to have a piece of carpeting to sit/lay on for the command PLACE.  Make sure it fits the size of your dog please. You are required to provide water/bowl for your dog at class.  Please bring treats for your dog.  A soft quickly eaten treat works the best. Classes will offer 2 short breaks for "potty time", and we ask that you bring equipment to clean up after your dog. All immunizations for your dog must be current. 

All breeds are accepted from ages, 3 months to 8 years old.
